History

T·A·P GmbH was founded in Hamburg in 1992 by Thomas Thiel, Rainer Aldag and Thomas Pusch. We started with the evaluation of raw data of the trade (scanner / POS data). Since there were no suitable tools at that time, we developed our software SCAMIS (c) based on the Express OLAP system. Even at that time, our customers were able to carry out complex, multi-dimensional analyzes in real time on the basis of the (raw) data independently.

In the year 2000 the T·A·P GmbH specialized in the area of Management Information Systems (MIS) and was renamed to the current name.

Since 2006, we have been able to offer the same range of services through the use of instantOLAP in the BI sector, such as Business Objects (SAP), Oracle, Cognos (IBM), QlikView and others. The newly developed middle-tire structure of instantOLAP made it possible to analyze arbitrary data structures without having to process or migrate them. Thus, it is no longer necessary to implement complex ETL processes.

As a Consulting company we offer partial and complete solutions around the topic of data and information management. The range of services of T·A·P GmbH includes the provision of process-neutral infrastructures at all levels of value creation, the development, implementation, operation of applications (ASP) and the management of complete processes.

In 2013, T·A·P GmbH declared the business unit BI around instantOLAP to be its core business.

In order to meet the current requirements of the market, the strategic division of tasks into the areas of technology and sales was additionally introduced.

T·A·P GmbH launched the instantOLAP Group in July 2013.
